My Dinos!

dinosMy Dinos is a fun, safe gaming environment for children under ten years old.  After choosing a name for their dinosaur, they then choose a “Dynamal” which is a baby dinosaur for which they are responsible.  Children go on quests through time either on their own or in collarboration with other players.

The site is monitored and filtered.

Wallwisher

Wallwisher is an online noticeboard maker.

  • It’s easy – not user registration needed, click-write-post, that’s it!

EtherPad

etherlets multiple people work on the same text simultaneously!

Each person is assigned a different highlight colour thus making it is easy to see who has typed what. Each person can also write simultaneously and the text is updated in real time.

EtherPad is safe for pupils to use because each session of Etherpad has its own unique URL This means that only people you invite to join the session can see and contribute to it.

voiceI am always telling teachers about the virtues of VoiceThread then I realised I hadn’t put it on the blog, so here it is.

VoiceThread is a collaborative, multimedia slide show that holds images, documents, and videos and allows people to leave comments in 5 ways – using voice (with a mic or phone), text, audio file, or video (via a webcam). Share a VoiceThread with friends, students, and colleagues for them to record comments too.

EditGrid is an online spreadsheet program that lets you create collaborative spreadsheets that you can work on with colleagues or friends in real time. Its main strength, however, is how you can format cells with images, JavaScript calls, and colorful charts and graphs. And, you can even exchange data between your own spreadsheets and spreadsheets hosted by other users.
